My mind has been overrun with thoughts of Tanzania. Tanzania! I’ve always dreamed of going to Africa, and after hours and hours of researching (including drinks with various friends who have been there), I now have a flight booked, a safari planned, a bungalow on Zanzibar reserved. I can’t wait to run into A.’s arms at the airport.
I picked this safari group because they employ local people, give back to the community and are eco-conscious. And they have glowing reviews.
And really, I couldn’t resist the quote on the website:
“All I wanted to do now was get back to Africa. We had not left it, yet, but when I would wake in the night I would lie, listening, homesick for it already.”
–Ernest Hemingway, Green Hills of Africa, 72: 1935.
